As part of Türkiye Sustainable Aviation Alliance, a one-on-one meeting with Pegasus Airlines was held to discuss Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) processes and strategic planning.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that SAF supply is a major global issue, and uncertainties remain regarding the achievement of 2050 targets. Pegasus representatives highlighted the importance of ensuring supply security for SAF production and stressed the need for a globally regulated SAF market.
Additionally, Pegasus's current strategies for SAF procurement and long-term agreements were discussed, with an emphasis on the need to encourage investments to increase Türkiye's SAF production capacity. The representatives also underscored the importance of infrastructure investments at airports in Türkiye to make SAF more widely used in operational processes.
