As part of the Türkiye Sustainable Aviation Alliance, a one-on-one meeting was held with SOCAR to discuss key topics related to Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
The discussion emphasized the importance of meeting international certification standards, such as those set by International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) and Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB), for SAF production and certification. Participants also explored ways to align these processes with Türkiye’s existing infrastructure. SOCAR expressed interest in innovative technologies, including jet fuel production from methanol and SAF production from sewage waste.
