As the Türkiye Sustainable Aviation Alliance (TSAA), we had the opportunity to share the advisory SAF roadmap we have developed for Türkiye, along with sectoral developments, with international stakeholders during the panel titled “The Role of SAF in Decarbonising Türkiye’s Rapidly Growing Aviation Industry”, held as part of the Sustainable Aviation Futures Congress.
In the panel, TSAA’s Director Prof. Hülya Cebeci was joined by Mark Stolze, Europe Regional Sustainability Lead at Boeing, Yaşar Yetişkin, Senior Sustainable Aviation Manager at ICF, and Roberto Gonzalez Llamazares, Principal at the EBRD, who all shared their insights and perspectives.
Key discussion topics included:
- How TSAA is bringing together stakeholders across the value chain to support Türkiye’s vision for low-carbon aviation,
- Türkiye’s feedstock potential for SAF production and its strategic geographical proximity to the EU and UK markets,
- How emerging policies and support mechanisms in Türkiye can incentivize SAF production,
- Investment opportunities and areas of collaboration available to international investors.
