Turkish Airlines VIP Hall
The "Türkiye Sustainable Aviation Alliance," with Boeing Türkiye as the "Founding Member," ITU ARC as the "Project Manager," and Turkish Airlines (THY) as the "Leading Stakeholder," held its 2024 Annual Review and Strategy Meeting on December 27, 2024, in the VIP Hall of Turkish Airlines' Headquarters. Hosted by Turkish Airlines, the event began with opening remarks from Aysem Sargin, General Manager of Boeing Türkiye and Central Asia, and Levent Konukcu, Deputy General Manager for Investment and Strategy at Turkish Airlines. Their speeches underscored the importance of collaboration in achieving sustainable aviation objectives and emphasized the critical role of a SAF roadmap for Türkiye.
The meeting focused on significant topics such as the global SAF landscape, SAF roadmaps, international best practices, mandates, regulatory frameworks, certification processes, Türkiye’s potential for energy farming, and carbon emission reduction scenarios associated with SAF usage. Furthermore, the Alliance's 2024 activities were reviewed, professional training modules were introduced, and the 2025 action plan was presented.
